Eritreans in Orange County, California
There are several hundreds of Eritreans who live and work in OC. They are part of a close-knit community that includes thousands of Eritrean-Americans who live in other parts of Southern California. Most of them started settling in this area in the early 1980's and the community continues to thrive as new comers join them looking for better opportunities and of course the golden sunset! For most Eritreans So Cal's sunny and dry climate reminds them of the one they left behind.
